v1.47.3

OIDC, My IP & Beyond

This is our biggest release yet — spanning nearly two months of development, v1.47.3 introduces OIDC single sign-on, a new public tool, and dozens of interface improvements across the entire platform. Here's everything that's new.

What's My IP

A brand new tool in our Public Tools suite — visit tools.emercom.io/ip to instantly see your public IP address along with detailed network information:

  • IP Address – IPv4 or IPv6 with one-click copy and reverse DNS (PTR) record
  • Network – ISP name and ASN number
  • Location – country, city, region, timezone, and coordinates

Latency from Monitoring Nodes

Below the IP information, a real-time latency table shows round-trip time and packet loss measured from each of our monitoring servers to your IP address. Results are color-coded — green for under 50ms, yellow for under 150ms, and red for anything higher. This is a quick way to see how reachable your network is from different regions.

Quick Actions

One-click buttons let you immediately run an HTTP check, Port check, ICMP ping, or DNS lookup against your own IP — no need to copy and paste anything.

OpenID Connect (OIDC) SSO

In addition to the existing Microsoft Azure AD / Entra ID integration, organizations can now configure generic OpenID Connect (OIDC) for single sign-on. This works with Authentik, Keycloak, Okta, and any other OIDC-compliant identity provider.

Configuration is straightforward — provide your Issuer URL, Client ID, and Client Secret. Emercom auto-discovers the OpenID configuration endpoint. You can also configure:

  • SSO Domains – email domains that automatically redirect to SSO login
  • Auto-registration – SSO users are automatically added to the organization without a manual invitation
  • Default role – choose Viewer, Editor, or Admin for auto-registered users

Server Regions & Selection Picker

Monitoring servers are now organized into named categories — North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Special — making it much easier to understand where your checks run from.

A new server selection picker replaces the old server checkboxes across Public Tools, One-Time Checks, and Monitored Resources. It offers four modes:

  • Random – one randomly selected server for a quick check
  • All (excl. Special) – all standard servers (recommended default)
  • All Servers – every server including Special categories
  • Custom – choose individual servers or entire categories

In Custom mode, servers are grouped by category with expand/collapse sections and checkboxes. In preset modes, category pills with hover tooltips show which servers are included. A summary line always confirms how many servers across how many regions will be used.

Server Tooltips

Hovering over a server name anywhere in the platform now shows a styled tooltip with the server's name, hosting provider, and ASN — giving you instant context about where your checks are running.

Expanded Monitoring Network

Since our last network update in v1.45.0, we've added four new monitoring locations — strengthening coverage across Europe and North America:

  • London, UK – our first UK monitoring location
  • Frankfurt, Germany – a second German node alongside Falkenstein
  • Kansas, USA – central US coverage
  • Vint Hill, USA – additional east-coast US coverage

Status Pages Dashboard

The Status Pages dashboard has been redesigned to match the Monitored Resources layout, creating a consistent experience across the platform.

  • Search – filter pages by name, slug, or description
  • Filter chips – quickly filter by visibility (Public/Private) or status (Operational/Has Issues)
  • Status flairs – each row now shows inline badges for visibility, category/service counts, active incidents, and subscriber count
  • Drag-to-reorder – reorder your status pages with drag-and-drop, arrow buttons, or direct number input

Improved Create & Edit Forms

Status page forms have been restructured into a card-based layout with clear sections for Basic Info, Subscription Settings, Custom Domain, Email Settings, and Auto-Approval Settings.

When creating incidents, you can now create categories and services inline without leaving the page — a small improvement that saves a lot of back-and-forth.

Search, Filters & Compact Views

Monitored Resources Index

The Monitored Resources list now includes a search bar and filter chips for quick navigation:

  • Search – filter by resource name, URL, or type
  • Status filters – Unavailable, Warning, Healthy
  • Type filters – HTTP, Port, ICMP
  • State filters – Paused, Inactive
  • Sort – bring unavailable resources to the top

Resource rows now display rich configuration badges — SSL status, redirect behavior, body match rules, timeout, response threshold, and server location — all visible at a glance without opening each resource.

Check Results: Compact View

Public Tools and shared check results now offer a compact table view alongside the detailed server card view. Toggle between them with a single click. The compact view shows all server results in a dense table format — ideal when you're checking many servers at once.

A status filter lets you quickly show only successful or failed results, and sort options let you order by response time or alphabetically.

Follow Redirects

HTTP checks across Public Tools, One-Time Checks, and Monitored Resources now include a "Follow HTTP Redirects" option. When enabled (the default), checks automatically follow 3xx redirect responses to reach the final destination. Disable it when you need to verify that a specific URL returns a redirect rather than following it.

Improved Alert Notifications

Alert email subjects are now clearer and easier to scan in a busy inbox:

  • DOWN – when a resource goes offline
  • OK – when a resource recovers
  • STATUS – for other status changes

Escalation levels are indicated with a clear suffix (e.g., [ESCALATION L2]), and email templates across the platform have been cleaned up for a more professional appearance.

Dashboard Polish & Quality-of-Life Improvements

Across the platform, we've made dozens of smaller improvements driven directly by user feedback — and we really appreciate every suggestion that came in:

  • Organization dashboard – restructured into a cleaner layout with an overview card showing your plan info and a support passcode for faster interactions with our team
  • Monitored Resource detail page – improved status badges, timezone-aware date formatting, and a compact 3-column configuration layout that puts everything important at a glance
  • Smart IP protocol handling – when you enter a raw IP address, Emercom now auto-detects the correct protocol and warns you if a monitoring node doesn't support IPv6
  • ICMP checks – average round-trip time and packet loss are now captured and displayed in check results
  • Faster page loads – significant behind-the-scenes optimizations across the dashboard mean less waiting and smoother navigation

Many of these improvements came from conversations with early users. If something feels off or could be better, please let us know — your feedback genuinely shapes what we build next.

What's Next

Next, we're focused on making Monitored Resources more powerful and supporting new check types. Expect deeper configuration options and broader protocol coverage along the way. As always — keep the feedback coming!
